 Treadwell Ranch & Recreation Investments welcomes Sam Reese as its newest agent specializing in ranch real estate. Sam grew up in Bryan, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in 2000 and a Master of Agriculture in 2003. During his time at A&M, Sam served as member of the National Agri-Marketing Association, participated in the Agribusiness and Public Policy Field Study, and helped represent the Aggies on their 1997-1998 Trap and Skeet team. Also, while attending college, Sam worked for JM Cattle Company where he assisted with all aspects of the 500 head cow/calf operation.
Upon graduation, Sam was hired to manage Logan Ranch located in Valley Mills, Texas. During his time at Logan Ranch, Sam developed and operated all aspects of a 1,750 head stocker operation from purchasing and grazing to marketing. He also assisted in the expansion of the hunting program and marketed replacement heifers. He further honed his range management skills while at Logan Ranch by operating an intensive rotational grazing system. Sam’s experience includes water development, range improvement, livestock management, as well as ranch business planning and evaluation.
In 2009, Sam and his wife, Julie, moved to San Angelo where she sells insurance and residential real estate and Sam embarked on a business of his own - 2R Cattle Company. As owner/operator of 2R Cattle Company, Sam buys and sells stocker calves, and cows. In the operation of this livestock enterprise there is a constant focus on managing and improving land resources. In 2010 Sam decided to add real estate sales to his credentials and is excited to be working under Brian Treadwell and learning from his expertise in ranch and recreational land as well as his work in conservation and prescribed burning.
